On Sunday 17 the championship enters its defining stage

At 1 pm the 21 Stars skated the starting line. A very hot day, with light winds from the northern sector and little wave set the conditions of the field. The two scheduled races of the day were run. In the second, the wind calmed almost completely demanding crews a lot of concentration and good crafts. With 5 races completed throughout the championship, the discard is crucial when measuring positions.

Today, it was a bright day for the Argentines Daniel Della Torre and Fernando D 'Emilio. This pair won the two battles of the day achieving an incredible recovery, in the second, after a bad start. With these two victories, discounting the discard, they manage to add 8 points and, position themselves in the first place displacing the Americans Tomas Hornos and Pedro Trouche who with just 9 points remain in second place. A head-to-head duel not to be missed!

Closing the podium were the Argentines Leandro Altolaguirre and Lucas Altolaguirre with 12 points. A distance with possibilities of being traced. Everything can happen…

On the other hand, Argentines Julio Labandeira and Julián Gazari Barroso managed to recover by climbing from eighth to fourth place. They add 17 points and get chances to play a place on the podium.

Daniel Della Torre told us the experience of the day:

“In the first race we left the side of the buoy, there was very little wind and we decided to make a long edge to the left, the fleet separated and the wind began to enter the place where we were. We had to turn almost reaching the lay line. We are well located with respect to the fleet because on the left there was more air ”

“In the second, the final was agonizing. We came from behind, we derived quarters and the first three went to the left and we decided to make the other edge. There was very little wind and we were able to approach with good speed ”

"With the" bear "D 'Emilio we are very happy, but there are still two more races. Fleet level is very good. Both Tomás Hornos and Lavandeira and Torkel are very good ”

Tomorrow the championship is defined and some of them will get the Silver Star! in an open and exciting end up to the greatest.
